  • The Blue Jackets are 8-1-3 in March, which is the best record of any team in the Western Conference this month.
  • Columbus continues to be the most responsible team in the NHL when it comes to puck possession, having recorded a league-low 126 giveaways this season. St. Louis ranks second in the league with 156.
  • The Blue Jackets currently lead the Western Conference in fighting majors (28) and rank fourth in total team hits (780).
  • Columbus currently ranks third in the Western Conference in come-from-behind victories (7).
  • The Blue Jackets set a team record for fastest three goals (1:15) last Friday when Artem Anisimov scored 24 seconds after Nick Foligno netted back-to-back markers 0:51 apart in the second period of a 5-1 home win over Calgary. 

 

PLAYER NOTES

  • G Sergei Bobrovsky currently ranks third in the NHL in SV% (.927) and is seventh in GAA (2.17).
  • D Fedor Tyutin surpassed Rotislav Klesla to become the franchise’s all-time leader in career points by a defenseman when he recorded his 134th point as a Blue Jacket (goal) last Tuesday vs. Nashville. Tyutin is tied for 12th place in the NHL in assists (14) and 20th in points (16) by a defenseman this season.
  • D Jack Johnson currently ranks fourth in the NHL in Time On Ice (26:22/game).
  • RW Jared Boll is currently tied for third in the NHL in fighting majors (9) and ranks sixth in penalty minutes (79).
  • C Artem Anisomov is tied for the league lead in shootout goals (4) and has the fewest number of attempts (5) of the five players in that group. Anisimov has seven even-strength goals this season, the most by any Russian-born NHL player.
  • LW R.J. Umberger is currently tied for 12th place in the NHL in blocked shots by a forward (28). Umberger has tallied 1-3-4 in his last three appearances to record his second three-game point streak of the season.
