The Blue Jackets will start Sergei Bobrovsky between the pipes tonight at Nationwide Arena, his first appearance of the preseason and his first for Columbus since a dramatic 3-1 win over Nashville on April 27. The reigning Vezina Trophy winner is expected to play two periods tonight before giving way to Mike McKenna, a free-agent signee by the Blue Jackets in July.
Columbus will dress a few players who made their exhibition debut on Sunday against Pittsburgh, including Artem Anisimov, RJ Umberger and David Savard.
Making their Blue Jackets debuts tonight against Buffalo are Spencer Machacek, Nick Moutrey, Patrick McNeill, Frederic St. Denis and McKenna. The Blue Jackets will have a good mix of regulars and new faces playing at Nationwide Arena this evening.

After Sunday's game vs. Pittsburgh, Blue Jackets head coach Todd Richards is looking for his team to play with more speed and intensity--similar to the style of what they would play in a regular season game. After a hard day of practice between games, expect a more physical style of play and a faster tempo from the Blue Jackets in their second exhibition game.
With a split squad (half of the Blue Jackets training camp attendees are in Minnesota to face off against the Wild, an 8 p.m. start), tonight's Blue Jackets roster looks a lot different from the one employed on Sunday. The Columbus roster for tonight's game is very young up front and has some experience on the back end, which basically means this game could be as unpredictable as one would expect an exhibition to be.
If you can't make it down to Nationwide Arena for the game tonight, be sure to follow along with our LIVE blog to ask questions, share insight and receive in-game updates from Rob Mixer and I throughout the game.
