Blue Jackets, T. Marzetti Co. announce new corporate partnership
COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets and T. Marzetti Co. announced today a new multiyear corporate partnership that designates the Columbus-based company as the Official Sponsor of Youth Hockey Moms.
The centerpiece of the partnership is the Marzetti Youth Hockey Mom of the Year promotion that celebrates the tireless support and sacrifice made by Hockey Moms across Ohio. Fans are invited to nominate any Hockey Mom who deserves to be recognized for her contributions to family, community and youth hockey. Nominations may be made online by visiting www.BlueJackets.com/HockeyMom.
“We’re very excited to begin this new partnership with a locally-based national brand,” said A.J. Poole, Columbus Blue Jackets vice president of corporate development. “Community engagement is a key component of the partnership and we look forward to teaming up with T. Marzetti Co. in celebration of youth hockey moms.”
“The T. Marzetti Company is proud to partner with the Columbus Blue Jackets for such a wonderful local initiative that rewards our youth ‘Hockey Moms’ for their positive impact in the community,” said Joe Tuza, Senior Vice President - Retail Marketing, Sales and Innovation. “We applaud these Moms and appreciate the energy and passion they demonstrate for everything they do - including helping their children with schoolwork, cheering them on at every game, and many times going above and beyond to volunteer and help others.”
The six Youth Hockey Mom of the Month winners will receive an array of prizes including tickets to a Blue Jackets game where she will be recognized, an Arena District gift card and Marzetti offers. The promotion culminates with one grand prize winner being selected from the six finalists. The Youth Hockey Mom of the Year will be treated to a Blue Jackets VIP game experience starting with a limousine ride to the game, premium tickets with dinner included, in-game recognition as the winner and a private meet and greet. The grand prize also includes a spa day for two, three months worth of groceries, and a Marzetti gift basket.
An additional component of the partnership is an in-arena video feature recognizing the “best dressed fans.”
