Blue Jackets, Hollywood Casino Columbus Announce Partnership
In-market promotion culminates with Blue Jackets Poker Night at Hollywood Casino in February
The Columbus Blue Jackets and Hollywood Casino Columbus announced today a new corporate partnership that is highlighted by an in-market promotion that allows fans to win the opportunity to play poker with Blue Jackets players and personalities at Hollywood Casino.
The “Win and Get In” promotion is a text-based program in which fans sign up to receive keywords over a four-month period. Upon receiving the keyword of the month, fans visit Hollywood Casino to enter the code at a designated location. At the time of entry, patrons will be rewarded with instant prizes from Hollywood Casino. All fans that complete the steps to enter all four keywords will “win and get in” to Blue Jackets Poker Night at Hollywood Casino in February 2014.
The promotion will be supported through a variety of Blue Jackets messaging platforms in arena, during radio broadcasts and via social media channels.
“We are very excited to welcome Hollywood Casino to the Blue Jackets family of corporate partners,” said A.J. Poole, Columbus Blue Jackets vice president of corporate development. “The ‘Win and Get In’ promotion is a great platform to get our fans involved and introduce them to one of central Ohio’s premier entertainment destinations.”
“We are thrilled to be partnering with the Columbus Blue Jackets,” said Jason Birney, VP of Marketing at Hollywood Casino Columbus. “It’s not often that you have the opportunity to work with a group of individuals as passionate as the Blue Jackets. We’re looking forward to a successful and long-lasting relationship.”
The Blue Jackets open their 13th National Hockey League season tonight when the Calgary Flames visit Ohio’s capital city for a 7 p.m. showdown at Nationwide Arena. Several exciting events and promotions are planned for this season-opening contest, including a special pre-game Opening Night Plaza Party presented by Nationwide Insurance that will begin at 4 p.m. Golf legend Jack Nicklaus is set to perform the ceremonial puck drop on Friday night while all fans in attendance will receive a complimentary magnet schedule courtesy of Papa John’s.
