Welcome to the newest post-game series on BlueJackets.com: By The Numbers. Here, we'll break down the most important facts, figures and statistics from that night's game. Despite the final score, there's more to the game's story than the numbers on the scoreboard.

Here's a look at some of the most interesting and notable statistics and numbers in Blue Jackets' 4-3 loss to the Anaheim Ducks at Nationwide Arena:

.857 - Ducks' goaltender Frederik Anderson's save percentage. His was worse than Sergei Bobrovsky's, who ended the game with an .875, but was good enough for the Ducks' win.

2 -
Players with their first goals of the season tonight--Blue Jackets' Blake Comeau and the Ducks' Peter Holland.

4- Power play goals for the Ducks this the season, including one tonight. They have the NHL's worst power play, coming in at just 6.8 percent.

11 -
Ducks' Hampus Lindholm's plus-minus rating for the season. He finished the night plus-1 and is tied for first in the NHL in that category with San Jose's Marc-Edouard Vlasic and Justin Braun.

14 - Third period goals for the Blue Jackets this season, good enough for fourth in the NHL. They had one third period goal tonight thanks to Anisimov.

21 - Penalty minutes for the Blue Jackets tonight. The Ducks were only called for one penalty, a hooking call on Beuchemin with 1:27 left in the game.

30 - Total penalty minutes for Blue Jackets forward Brandon Dubinsky this season. He doubled his penalty minute total (15) with a hit on Saku Koivu, who left tonight's game with an injury after a mid-ice hit. Dubinsky is now eighth in the NHL in penalty minutes.

42- The best player in tonight's game (and first star of the night) was Artem Anisimov, who finished with two goals, 20:30 ice time, five shots on goal and a plus-2 rating.

65.8 - Dubinsky's home face-off win percentage, good enough for the number one spot in the NHL in that statistic. He won 89 percent of his face-offs tonight, going 8-of-9 in the circle.

10,542 - Tonight's attendance, the worst at Nationwide Arena in the 2013-14 season.
