Blue Jackets recall Sean Collins from Springfield, place Jared Boll on IR
COLUMBUS, OHIO -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have added forward Sean Collins to the roster on emergency recall from the American Hockey League’s Springfield Falcons, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. Columbus also placed forward Jared Boll on Injured Reserve retroactive to November 22 due to a bruised foot suffered that night at Vancouver. He is eligible to return to action on Saturday, November 30.
Collins, 24, has collected one assist and a +2 plus/minus rating in five games with the Blue Jackets this season and has registered 0-1-1, six penalty minutes with an even plus/minus rating in 10 career NHL games. He has notched 3-4-7, four penalty minutes and is +5 in 13 games with the Falcons and has 15-28-43, 28 penalty minutes and is +23 in 85 career AHL games.
Boll, 27, has recorded 1-0-1 and 38 PIM in 21 appearances with Columbus this season. He has tallied 25-28-53 in 409 career NHL games, all with the Blue Jackets. Currently in his seventh season with the organization, Boll ranks fourth on the Blue Jackets’ all-time games played list and second on the club’s penalty minute list with 1,001 (Jody Shelley – 1,025).
