CBJ Power Rankings: Dec. 2
The inaugural edition of the CBJ Power Rankings breaks down the top 5 ice-time leaders (at forward) for the Blue Jackets.

EDITOR'S NOTE:
You've arrived at the inaugural edition of the CBJ Power Rankings, our weekly breakdown of the top-five players, statistics, trends and many other Blue Jackets-related categories. If you're looking for the traditional power rankings, you've come to the wrong place. We'll go in-depth and outside the box, and hopefully, give you something to think about.

For our maiden power rankings voyage, we're going to take a look at the Blue Jackets forwards. As you're aware, the team has suffered some significant injuries up front and while it has made for a depleted lineup on some nights, opportunities have opened up for the organization's younger players. Who has stepped up, who has more to give, and who has been a steady Eddie so far?

Who are the Blue Jackets' time on ice (TOI) leaders among forwards, and what are they bringing to the table? Let's begin.

BRANDON DUBINSKY
AVERAGE TOI/GAME: 19:30
2013-14: 21 GP, 5-10-15 (+1)

The Blue Jackets are looking at getting a huge boost to their lineup if Dubinsky is ready to play Tuesday night, as expected. Not only does he lead all forwards in ice time, he logs important minutes in all situations, and is a top-of-the-rotation face-off guy (55.9 percent, tops among all Columbus centers) and penalty killer. The offense Dubinsky provides has jumped this season, as well; he's already scored three more goals (5) in 21 games this season than he did in 29 games last season. As you can see, there are many reasons why Todd Richards wants Dubinsky on the ice as often as possible.
