Blue Jackets activate forward Brandon Dubinsky off injured reserve
COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated center Brandon Dubinsky off Injured Reserve, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. After missing six games due to a foot injury suffered at Edmonton on November 19, he is expected to return to action when Columbus hosts Tampa Bay on Tuesday at Nationwide Arena.
Dubinsky, 27, has tallied five goals and 10 assists for 15 points with 40 penalty minutes and a +1 plus/minus rating in 21 games this season. He leads the club in PIM and time on ice among forwards (19:30), ranks second in assists, third in points and is tied for sixth in goals. He has also netted two power play, two shorthanded and one game-winning goal and won 55.9 percent of face-offs he’s taken.
Acquired by Columbus in a trade with the New York Rangers on July 23, 2012, Dubinsky has registered 88-160-248, 573 PIM and a cumulative +27 plus/minus rating in 443 career NHL games with Columbus and New York. He has tallied 7-28-35, 116 PIM and is +3 in 50 games as a Blue Jacket.
The Blue Jackets return to action on Tuesday when they host the Tampa Bay Lightning at Nationwide Arena. Game time is 7 p.m. ET.
