Welcome to By The Numbers. Here, we'll break down the most important facts, figures and statistics from that night's game. Despite the final score, there's more to the game's story than the numbers on the scoreboard.

Here's a look at some of the most notable statistics and numbers from the Blue Jackets' 4-0 victory over the Minnesota Wild at Nationwide Arena:

3 - The individual plus-minus ratings for both Ryan Murray and James Wisniewski. Together, they helped shut down the Wild's top offensive line of Zach Parise, Mikko Koivu and Jason Pominville. Murray now leads the Blue Jackets in plus-minus with a +5 on the season.

6 - Shutouts for the Blue Jackets against the Wild in 46 games played.

6 - Points for the Foligno-Johansen-Umberger line tonight. They finished the night with a combined two goals, four assists, a plus-3 rating and nine shots on goal.

8 - Shots on goal for Cam Atkinson, who leads the Blue Jackets this season with 89. He scored tonight and is top 30 in the NHL in SOG.

11:13 - Minutes of ice time for Derek MacKenzie in his first game since Nov. 22 when he left with an injury. He had three shot attempts, two hits and a takeaway.

22 - Points this season for Ryan Johansen, who has already surpassed his NHL career high for points in a season after just 29 games played. He's on track for a 60 point season.

35 - Todd Richards' win streak when the Blue Jackets lead after two periods of play.

68.2 - The combined face-off win percentage for Brandon Dubinsky (8-of-12, 67%) and Artem Anisimov (7-of-10, 70%) who won a total of 15 face-offs on 22 attempts.

1,035 - Days since Curtis McElhinney's last shutout, which came Feb. 5, 2011. He stopped 20 shots tonight and was the third star of the game.

2,225 - Days since the Blue Jackets
recorded a shutout against the Wild. That game was a 4-0 defeat on Nov. 23, 2007. Leclaire was awarded the shutout after making 32 saves.
