EDITOR'S NOTE: You've arrived at the CBJ Power Rankings, our weekly breakdown of the top-five players, statistics, trends and many other Blue Jackets-related categories. If you're looking for the traditional power rankings, you've come to the wrong place. We'll go in-depth and outside the box, and hopefully give you something to think about.

For this week's rankings, we're taking a look at something a bit multi-faceted: we're ranking the top-five TOI leaders AND point producers for the Blue Jackets over the past week of games. This is going to involve part statistics and part opinion in ranking them Nos. 1 through 5, so bear with us! Basically, this week's rankings should give you an idea of a) which Blue Jackets players are logging a lot of ice time and b) which players are contributing offensively on top of the heavy workload.

Make sense? Alright, let's rock and roll.

JACK JOHNSON (D)
TOI THIS WEEK: 22:38, 22:51, 24:43, 29:03
2 ASSISTS, + 2

Since pairing up with Fedor Tyutin on the Blue Jackets' top defensive pairing, Johnson has had his share of ups and downs (as has that pairing, in general) but they're really playing well and especially so as of late. On Saturday night, the Tyutin-Johnson duo kept the Blues' top line in check for nearly the entire game, and opposing teams' top offensive units are finding life difficult when playing against that particular duo. That's a good sign moving forward for the Blue Jackets, if you'll allow us to state the obvious.

Johnson has logged a heavy workload on a regular basis ever since joining the Blue Jackets in 2012, but it's been a while since he approached the 30-minute plateau - and he did so against St. Louis on Saturday (29:03 in the 4-3 OT loss). Johnson has also been on the ice for eight Jackets goals in the last three games and is +3 in the last two contests. He gets this week's top billing from the CBJ Power Rankings crew.
