Fedor Tyutin to miss 2-3 weeks with ankle injury
Blue Jackets defenseman Fedor Tyutin will miss 2-3 weeks due to an ankle injury suffered during the Olympics.

COLUMBUS, OHIO -- Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Fedor Tyutin is expected to be sidelined two to three weeks due to an ankle injury, the club announced today. Tyutin suffered the injury while playing for Russia at the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.

Tyutin, 30, has tallied four goals and 20 assists for 24 points with 30 penalty minutes and a +6 plus/minus rating in 53 games with the Blue Jackets this season. He is tied third on the club in plus/minus rating, while ranking second among defensemen in goals, assists and points. In 659 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets and New York Rangers, he has registered 50-181-231 and 428 penalty minutes.

A native of Ivhevsk, Russia, Tyutin collected four penalty minutes and was +1 in five outings at this year's Olympic Games. The three-time Olympian also represented his country at the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin, Italy and the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The Blue Jackets return to game action on Thursday, February 27 when they visit the New Jersey Devils in a matchup of Metropolitan Division rivals. Game time from Prudential Center is 7 p.m. ET. Live coverage on FOX Sports Ohio begins with the Blue Jackets Live pre-game show starting at 6:30 p.m. The game will also be broadcast live on the Blue Jackets Radio Network, including flagship station WWCD 102.5 FM in Columbus and online at BlueJackets.com. The Blue Jackets return home on Saturday, March 1 to host the Florida Panthers for a 2 p.m. matinee game.
