Blue Jackets reassign defenseman Cody Goloubef to Springfield Falcons
COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned defenseman Cody Goloubef to the American Hockey League’s Springfield Falcons, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced tonight.
Goloubef, 24, has appeared in five games with the Jackets this season, recording three hits, four shots on goal and two penalty minutes in 49:07 of action. The 6-1, 195-pound blueliner has scored six goals and dished out 16 assists for 22 points in 48 games played with Springfield, while also registering a +9 plus/minus rating and 75 penalty minutes.
Columbus’ second pick, 37th overall, at the 2008 NHL Draft, Goloubef has registered 1-0-1 in 17 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets and 17-47-64 and 209 penalty minutes in 184 career AHL games. He was named to the AHL’s 2014 All-Star Team and tallied an assist and a +2 plus/minus rating in a 7-2 win over Farjestad BK of the Swedish Hockey League in the All-Star Game on February 12.
