By The Numbers: Blue Jackets at Stars

Welcome to By The Numbers. Here, we'll break down the most important facts, figures and statistics from that night's game. Despite the final score, there's more to the game's story than the numbers on the scoreboard.

Here's a look at some of the most notable numbers from the Blue Jackets' 3-1 win over the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center:

0 - The time on the scoresheet for Nathan Horton's goal. The only stats that carried over from the rescheduled game were the goal credited to Horton and assists to Matt Calvert and James Wisniewski. It also did not count as a power play goal.

1:33 - Time into the game when Artem Anisimov made it 2-0 Blue Jackets. The goal was unassisted.

4 - Blue Jackets players extended point streaks: James Wisniewski's assist on the Horton goal gave him one goal and five assists for six points in his five game streak. Ryan Johansen's assist made it a four game streak for him (two goals, three assists). Nathan Horton's goal, though he did not play, extended his goal-scoring streak to two games. Mark Letestu made it three games with three goals and one assist for four points in that span.

5 - Wins and zero losses for the Blue Jackets this season when Nathan Horton scores a goal.

12:57 - The time remaining in the game when the Stars pulled Tim Thomas on the power play--and scored--to make it a 3-1 game.

20 - Road wins for the Blue Jackets this season, as they extended their franchise record.

26:50 -  Minutes played by Jack Johnson, who led all Blue Jackets in ice time.

60 - Points this season for Ryan Johansen, who tallied an assist on Mark Letestu's goal. He has 32 goals and 28 assists this season.

221 - Goals scored this season for the Blue Jackets--a new franchise record. The previous record, 220, was set in the 2008-09 season, the last season that the Blue Jackets made the playoffs.
