The Numbers: Game 2

Matt Calvert's goal in double overtime - his second of the night - gave the Blue Jackets their first-ever playoff win, but more importantly, evened up this series at one game apiece.

Here's a quick look at the numbers that shaped their 4-3 victory at CONSOL Energy Center.

3 - Number of consecutive shutout periods pitched by Sergei Bobrovsky after allowing goals in the first four periods of the series.

Bob finished with 39 saves on 42 shots and held strong after the Jackets lost defenseman Fedor Tyutin to injury in the second period.

5:09 - The amount of time it took for three goals to be scored. Brian Gibbons put the Penguins up 2-0 after a tip-in goal on a shot from the point and a break-away short-handed score 54 seconds later.

Ryan Johansen
lit the lamp 45 seconds later on a power play goal from the right circle to make the score 2-1 with 14:51 left in the first period.

14 - Total number of penalties taken by both squads; eight for Columbus and six for Pittsburgh.

Johansen and Jack Johnson lit the lamp on power plays in the first and third periods while the Jackets held the team with the league's highest power play conversion to only one goal on six man advantages - two of those penalty kills coming in overtime.

22 - Number of shots that were blocked by the Jackets. Columbus players have sacrificed their bodies through two games with a grand total of 39 blocked shots in the series.

Johnson led the team in future bruises with four blocked shots tonight and 10 on the series.

‚Äč51 - Number of hits the Jackets dished out. The aggression led to some undisciplined penalties, but the young Blue Jackets sought to set the tone from the get-go.

2 - Goals tonight for Calvert, the second one being a goal that Blue Jackets fans won't soon forget.
