Goal Oriented: Nick Foligno
At first glance, Nick Foligno’s chart looks like a funnel with very little activity from either circle. The fiery Foligno is a consistent threat near the cage, which is complimented by his physical style of play.
The irony of the chart is that one of Foligno’s most memorable goals didn’t come from anywhere close to the net (hint: it’s the Game 4 winner from the point).
Regardless of from where his goals originated, Foligno saw career-high production last season to the tune of 18 goals. His 39 point total was bested only by his 47-point 2011-12 campaign in Ottawa.
