COLUMBUS, OHIO -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired forward Jerry D’Amigo and a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for forward Matt Frattin, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
D’Amigo, 23, appeared in 22 games with Toronto last season, making his National Hockey League debut on December 5, 2013 against the Dallas Stars. He recorded one goal, two assists, three points and 12 shots on goal with the Maple Leafs and tallied 17-12-29 and a +7 plus/minus rating in 70 appearances with the American Hockey League’s Toronto Marlies.

A native of Binghamton, New York, D’Amigo split his amateur career between the Ontario Hockey League (Kitchener), NCAA (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) and North American Hockey League (United States National Development Program). The 5-11, 208-pound right winger was named the ECAC Rookie of the Year for 2009-10 after registering 10-24-34 in 35 games for the Engineers in his lone season of collegiate hockey.
D’Amigo twice represented the United States at the IIHF World Junior Championships, winning gold in 2010 and capturing bronze the following year.
