George Matthews provides the play-by-play with Bob McElligott providing the game analysis and serving as the pre and post-game host. Mark Wyant returns as in-game host for all broadcasts as well as the lockeroom reporter for all home games. Each game is preceded by the 30-minute Toyota Pre-Game Show, where George and Bob break down that night's game with Blue Jackets interviews, plus regular features which include the Lexus Coach's Interview, news and notes from around the league, Know Your Opponent and the Keys to the Game.
Following every home game, the Blue Jackets post-game show takes place from the Blue Jackets Pub at Nationwide Arena. It's a lively and interactive recap of that night's game, featuring George, Bob and Mark as well as interviews with Blue Jackets players and Ken Hitchcock's post-game press conference. George Matthews - Radio Play-by-Play
George Matthews brings his passionate broadcast style to the Wheeling Island Hotel and Casino Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS (AM 1460) and WWCD (FM 101.1). He came to Columbus in 2000 with a long list of achievements and experience, including play-by-play work for the Prince Edward Island (PEI) Senators of the American Hockey League.
Bob McElligott - On Air Talent
Bob McElligott joined the Columbus Blue Jackets broadcast team as radio color analyst on the Blue Jackets Radio Network, including flagship stations WBNS-AM, Sports Radio 1460 The Fan, and WWCD-FM, CD 101 in July 2009.
In addition to his in-game duties, McElligott will serve as a host on both the radio pre- and post-game shows, as well as club ancillary programming. He will also be a regular contributor on BlueJackets.com, the club’s official website, through video features on Jackets TV as well as editorial content.
