|T.J. LaMENDOLA, Chief Financial Officer
T.J. LaMendola joined the Columbus Blue Jackets in 1999 as director of finance and was named chief financial officer for the organization in July 2001. His responsibilities include the oversight of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, internal controls, risk management and information technology for both the Blue Jackets and Nationwide Arena. In addition to his duties with the club, he also serves as the treasurer for the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation and is a member of the National Hockey League Pension Society Board of Directors. He is also a member of the Public Relations Advisory Council for the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.
LaMendola came to the Blue Jackets from Karrington Health Inc., where he served as the controller for the $50 million public company and was responsible for day-to-day finances from 1997-99. He began his career in public accounting with Deloitte & Touche LLP and spent nearly five years specializing in both manufacturing and service organizations.
A native of Dayton, Ohio, LaMendola attended Miami University in Oxford and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1992. He became a Certified Public Accountant a year later.
He and his wife, Sue, are the parents of three sons, Nicholas, Christopher and Andrew. The family resides in Dublin.
