HOCKEY HALLOWEEN with the Blue Jackets
presented by Nationwide Insurance

Special décor and lighting will help you get in the Halloween spirit!

We're inviting you to a Halloween Celebration for adults and kids of all ages on Sunday, Oct. 28 from 1-5 p.m. Admission is free and kids are encouraged to come in costume.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

  • Halloween Themed Skate

  • Trick or Treat Stations located throughout the Suite Level

  • Kids Costume Contest

  • Scavenger Hunt

  • Carnival Games and Crafts including Pumpkin Painting, Face Painting, Plinko, Cornhole

  • “Scary” Storybook time and movies

    • Free parking will be available in the Arena Parking Garage.

    Main Concourse Activities

  • Scavenger Hunt – begins at the Guest Services desk (section 111)

    • The Hockey Halloween Scavenger Hunt has six stations. At each station you will receive a sticker to place on your scavenger hunt card and the next station’s clue. At the last station you will receive your prize.

  • Carnival Games and Crafts – located on the Bud Light Terrace (sections 115-116) and includes the following activities:

    • Broom Ball against a team of witches.

    Pumpkin Patch – kids can pick their own pumpkin to paint.

    Shot on Goal – using a street hockey goal and stick. Kids can shoot against a goalie (wearing a Jason mask).

    Balloon Darts with orange and black balloons

    Halloween Bounce House

    Craft area including Stinger Coloring Sheets and Broomstick Bookmarks

  • Labatt Blue Zone Pub (section 118) – serves as the adult area for the event. Halloween themed cocktails along with regular bar service and popcorn. QFM96 and K95 personalities will be on hand to liven up the pub atmosphere. 

  • Scary Story Time and Movies – (sections 118-120)

    • This area will have an interactive storytime reading of “One Halloween Night” at 1:30, 2:00, 2:30, and 4:00. There will also be Halloween themed childrens videos playing throughout the event.  Popcorn and Apple Cider will be available.

  • Teen Zone – (sections 120-121)

    • Video Game stations set up with Zombies available to play against you in NHL 13 and Guitar Hero.

  • IGS Energy Zone (sections 107-108)

    • Mini Hockey Rink

    Electronic Interactive Game

  • OhioHealth Photo Station – (sections 112-113)

    • Anyone can get their Halloween photo taken from 1-5pm. Stinger and members of the promo team will be on hand for photo opportunities throughout the event. There will be a short break at this station for the Costume Contest at 3:15pm.  Photos are courtesy of OhioHealth.

  • There will also be face painters, statue man (as a Scarecrow), magician and balloon artists at the event.

  • Concessions – (section 113) will be open at the Tim Hortons / Ice Cream stand on the Bud Light Terrace.

    • They will serve popcorn, soft pretzels, ice cream, coffee, hot chocolate, cotton candy (black and orange) and caramel apples.

  • Halloween Parade with Stinger will take place at 3pm. The parade will start at Guest Services and go throughout the concourse.

  • Costume Contest – (sections 112-113) at 3:15pm.  This is open to all kids 12 and under.  Grand prizes include an Xbox 360 and a 5' Plush Stinger from the FOX Sports Ohio Blue Line.

  • The first 1,000 kids will receive a Blue Jackets Trick or Treat bag.

  • FOX Sports Ohio Blue Line store is open from 1-5pm. Located by the Front Street Entrance.

    Adults, if you are coming in costume please refrain from having novelty weapons or metallic items (such as guns, knives, handcuffs, chains) as part our your costume. Nationwide Arena reserves the right to have you remove these items before you enter the arena.
