Matt Calvert has made a habit out of this scoring goals thing, hasn't he?
He has scored goals in three straight games, including the game-opening goal just 38 seconds into Thursday night's win over the Rangers. That line (Calvert-Dubinsky-Atkinson) has been responsible for some clutch scoring of late, including a combined nine-point effort on Tuesday, a 5-4 win against another division rival in the New Jersey Devils. If the Blue Jackets are on top of their game, you'll often see this line leading the way and they did so by scoring on the first shift against the Rangers.
Facing a physical, skilled opponent like St. Louis, the Blue Jackets' forecheck will be extremely important and that's where players like Calvert, Jenner, Dubinsky, Atkinson and others can make a difference.
