Career: Represented Canada at the '93 World Junior Championships (7GP-0G-1A-1P, Gold Medal) and '94 Winter Olympics (4GP-0G-0A-0P, Silver Medal)… Made NHL debut (w/VAN) and scored 1st career goal on 5/3/95 at SJS... Set VAN record for goals by a D in 1998-99 (23, also led NHL)… Tied D. Potvin’s NHL record for most PPG by a D in a season (18) in 1998-99 (w/VAN)… Set career high with 44 pts (13G-31A) in 2003-04 w/NYI… Appeared in 2004 NHL All-Star Game, scoring opening goal for Team East in 6-4 W over Team West… Served as CHI team captain from 2005-07… Skated in 1000th career NHL game (w/PHX) on 3/20/11 vs. CHI.

2012-13:  Recorded 1st point as a Blue Jacket (assist, goal by D. MacKenzie) on 2/16 at PHX.

2011-12: Ranked 3rd on PHX in +/- rating (+14) and TOI/game (20:14)… Recorded +4 rating (T-2nd on team) in playoffs during PHX's run to the Conference Finals.

Played in NHL All-Star Game (2004) Missed majority of 1997-98 due to ankle (October 4, 1997 vs. Anaheim) and groin (November 1, 1997 vs. Pittsburgh) injuries. Traded to Tampa Bay by Vancouver with Vancouver's 2nd round choice (Alexander Polushin) in 2001 Entry Draft for Dan Cloutier, February 7, 2001. Traded to NY Islanders by Tampa Bay with Alexander Kharitonov for Mathieu Biron and NY Islanders' 2nd round choice (later traded to Washington, later traded to Vancouver Vancouver selected Denis Grot) in 2002 Entry Draft, June 22, 2001. Signed as a free agent by MODO (Sweden), December 21, 2004. Signed as a free agent by Chicago, August 2, 2005. Traded to Calgary by Chicago with Chicago's 7th round choice (C.J.
