GAME: Phoenix Coyotes (10-11-11-1) at Columbus Blue Jackets (8-17-4-3).

The Phoenix Coyotes hope to complete an unbeaten four-game road trip as they visit the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena.

The Coyotes are coming off their third straight tie on the swing, 3-3 at Nashville on Monday. Phoenix has skated to ties in each of its last four road games, and is unbeaten in 10 of its last 12 (4-2-6-0) overall.

Monday's tie kept Phoenix three points behind eighth-place Nashville in the Western Conference, but the Coyotes haven't won since beating Dallas 2-1 on Dec. 10.

"It would've been nice to get the two (points)," Phoenix coach Bob Francis said.

Shane Doan scored the tying goal in the third period and had two assists for the Coyotes, who have also picked up a point in Los Angeles and St. Louis during their trip.

"We've played some good teams," Phoenix center Chris Gratton said. "St. Louis at home -- they've been hot, and this team here is no slouch either. They're all going to be hard-fought games."

Doan has 10 points in the last seven games.

The last-place Blue Jackets are looking for their first victory since a 2-1 home triumph over Anaheim on Dec. 2. They are winless in eight games (0-7-1) since that victory, including Saturday's 5-2 defeat at Minnesota.

Trevor Letowski and Geoff Sanderson scored for Columbus, which has just 11 goals during its winless streak.

"I think confidence is a big part of it right now," Sanderson said. "Especially coming off the last game, our team is really fragile right now."

Columbus is 4-2-1-0 all-time against the Coyotes at Nationwide Arena, including a 2-2 tie on Nov. 16. Rick Nash scored a goal for the Blue Jackets in that game, giving him four points in five career games against Phoenix.
