Goaltender Marty Turco hopes to stay perfect against Columbus as the streaking Dallas Stars take on the Blue Jackets at the American Airlines Center.

Turco has won all seven of his career appearances against Columbus, compiling a .915 save percentage in that span. The Stars have owned the Blue Jackets in the all-time series, going 13-2.

The Stars are coming in with a six-game unbeaten streak (5-0-1) and an 11-game home unbeaten run (8-0-3). Fifth in the Western Conference, the Stars are just six points back behind first-place San Jose in the Pacific Division.

On Sunday, Bill Guerin scored his second goal of the game 55 seconds into overtime as the Stars rallied from a three-goal deficit to beat Edmonton 5-4.

"Those points are huge for us right now," said Stars left wing Brenden Morrow, who scored a power-play goal late in the second period. "We're looking for favors and nobody is doing any for us, so we've just got to take care of our business."

Columbus, meanwhile, is looking to extend its winning streak to a season-high four games. On Tuesday, Rick Nash scored a power-play goal just 1:12 in to spark the Blue Jackets to a 3-0 win over Carolina - their first win over the Hurricanes in more than three years.

"It stopped their momentum," Nash said. "We had the bounces tonight. Usually it always goes the other way against us, so it's kind of nice to get that."

Marc Denis stopped 25 shots to earn his fourth shutout of the season and 13th of his career.

With his effort Tuesday, Nash remains tied with Atlanta's Ilya Kovalchuk for the NHL lead in power-play goals with 16, and has equaled the single-season franchise record of 34 goals, set last season by Geoff Sanderson.
