BLUE JACKETS (30-32-13) at BLACKHAWKS (46-20-7)

Last 10: Columbus 5-3-2; Chicago 4-4-2.

Season Series: This is the sixth and final meeting between the Central Division rivals. Chicago took the first four matchups before Columbus crushed the Blackhawks by an 8-3 score on Thursday at Nationwide Arena.

Big Story: Chicago's had a couple of days to stew about its performance in Columbus on Thursday night, and it will be interesting to see how Joel Quenneville's team responds as it continues to fight for the top spot in the Western Conference. The Blackhawks have just nine games remaining in the regular season.

Team Scope:

Blue Jackets: Columbus rallied from a 2-0 deficit but failed to earn a second point in the standings in a 4-3 overtime loss to the New York Islanders at Nationwide Arena on Saturday night. Josh Bailey scored the game-winner for the Isles at 2:58 of the extra session.

"It wasn't that good of a game," Columbus captain Rick Nash said. "It was good to come back, but I don't think we had a full team that played their best."

Blackhawks: Despite losing by five goals on Thursday night, Chicago still managed to clinch a playoff berth when the Calgary Flames lost on Long Island. Still, there wasn't any reason to smile after being blown out of the building by the Blue Jackets.

"Across the board, from the first shift to the end of the game," Quenneville said afterwards. "There's nothing to be excited about. Discount it and throw it in the garbage can."

Who's Hot: Nash had a goal and an assist on Saturday night and has three points in his last two games. His tally against the Isles was his 31st of the season. Meanwhile, Jakub Voracek has 18 points in his last 16 games. … Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane has a four-game points streak, while Patrick Sharp has notched a point in three straight.

Injury Report: Blue Jackets defensemen Rostislav Klesla (hip) and Jan Hejda (knee) are out for the season, while forward Jared Boll (hand) is out indefinitely. … Blackhawks defenseman Brian Campbell (upper body) hopes to resume skating in two weeks, while Kim Johnsson (concussion) is day-to-day.

Stat Pack: The eight goals that Columbus scored against Chicago on Thursday set a franchise record for goals in a home game and matched the most goals the Blue Jackets have ever scored in a game.

Puck Drop: "The first (period) was brutal; we didn't play well at all. In the second we came back and started shooting pucks and started getting pucks deep and less turnovers in the neutral zone, we did a lot better.

"Tomorrow's going to be tough. We will watch some video on what happened tonight and then go from there and hopefully come back from this." -- Blue Jackets captain Rick Nash after Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Islanders
